We recognize the inherent value of every human life and are dedicated to creating opportunities for positive change.
By offering essential services through ongoing outreach and meaningful engagement, we aim to make a lasting impact in the lives of those less fortunate.
We aim to build strong relationships and effective processes within our communities, fostering hope and support for all.
We see the value in every human life as precious and hope that by creating opportunities for positive change, we can and will make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate by offering healthy services through continued outreach and frequent action to build relationships and effective processes in our communities.
We are making a meaningful difference in our cities by viewing the homeless community as our neighbors and actively reaching out through large-scale evangelism efforts. We believe that many lives can be touched, saved, and transformed. Our goal is to bring hope to the lost and hurting through generous acts of kindness, helping those who are struggling with homelessness and mental illness to experience the transformative love of God.
We aspire to empower individuals to become thriving members of society, grounded in faith and equipped with the tools to achieve a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Our vision includes educating and training those we encounter and helping them build stable lives.
Your involvement is crucial in raising awareness about mental health, the dangers of isolation, and the impact of addiction and emotional trauma. Together, we and nurturing families in homes they can call their own.
This plan involves collaborating with like-minded organizations and community members to raise awareness about mental health, the dangers of isolation, and the impact of addiction and emotional trauma. We look forward to the re-beautification of our neighborhoods, communities, and cities, believing that true change begins when we see our neighbors through the eyes of love.
To secure funding for The Jordan Project’s services, we will focus on raising awareness about mental health and related issues. This initiative will be integral to our community outreach events, engaging participants in our mission. We will seek support through various grant programs, donations, and partnerships with individuals, foundations, and organizations that share our passion. Together, we can mobilize resources—whether through financial contributions, physical support, or volunteer time—to make a meaningful impact in our community.
We will organize various outreach events throughout the year—annually, bi-annually, quarterly, monthly, and even weekly! These initiatives will include follow-up efforts at key locations we serve and will be integral to our housing initiatives and hotel voucher programs. Each outreach event will feature creative fundraising themes aimed at raising awareness for those struggling with mental illness, addiction, and homelessness in our communities. Our events will take place locally in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, and the surrounding areas, as well as in Bakersfield, California, where Jordan faced his own challenges and where his mother, brother, and daughter still reside. Ultimately, our mission is to extend our efforts across California, throughout the United States, and even into the world's inner cities, reaching one person at a time with the love of God.
At The Jordan Project, we recognize the power of teamwork; we cannot achieve our dreams in isolation. With a focus on building relationships and connecting with our community, we will strategically partner with other service groups both locally and online. Together, we aim to reclaim our neighborhoods through collaboration. By extending the gifts of love and kindness to our homeless neighbors, we unite in a shared mission: to transform lives and restore hope!
We will consistently promote our services to the community through a robust online presence, event advertising, and word-of-mouth outreach, including door-to-door and business-to-business engagement. These efforts will help us establish visibility and recognition within the community, reaching those in need of our services. Additionally, by sharing Jordan’s story and others like it, we aim to raise awareness about mental health in the areas that need it most, fostering connections and support where it matters.
The Jordan Project aims to be a comprehensive educational resource for individuals experiencing mental illness, addiction, and homelessness. We are committed to providing various pathways to support, helping people transition off the streets while empowering them to understand their worth and realize their potential.
Our initiative will be progressive, training and developing specialists who bring professional expertise, academic knowledge, and life experience to our mission. By exploring all available resources for assistance, we aspire to become a trusted authority and voice for our communities, advocating for those in need and fostering lasting change.
We are committed to creating a “home for the homeless” by every means necessary! Our ultimate goal is to provide housing for all individuals experiencing homelessness whom we encounter in our cities. We recognize that this is a noble aspiration that requires collaboration and support from the community. Adequate housing is vital for healthy living, and we believe it is worth the investment needed to build this dream together.
We currently have resources in place for housing, and we hope to gain the financial backing, legislative support, and community influence necessary to make this vision a reality for everyone in need. Together, we can transform lives and create lasting change!
Our ultimate goal is complete rehabilitation in its truest sense: the restoration of individuals and families affected by addiction, mental illness, and similar challenges. Through this initiative, we aim to help people reclaim their former privileges, rebuild their reputations, and restore their self-respect and self-care after enduring long periods of hardship.
fulfilling
We are dedicated to healing the lost and hurting in our neighborhoods and communities, guiding them away from the damage and despair toward the fulfillment of what we believe is God’s original intent for their lives. We see miracles in progress, as our vision unfolds one soul at a time!
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
"For the whole Law is summed up in one commandment: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'"
"But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a fount of water springing up to eternal life."

Hi, I’m Joshua, founder of The Jordan Project. Thank you for considering partnering with us in our mission to transform lives within homeless communities. My inspiration comes from a deeply personal place: my brother Jordan, who tragically lost his life due to the harsh realities of homelessness, compounded by mental illness and addiction.
I once faced similar struggles, feeling lost and alone until I was rescued by the love of Jesus Christ and the support of my local church, which provided a men’s home for individuals like my brother and me. At that time, I was desperate to reconnect with my children while battling severe depression, anxiety, and paranoia. The lifestyle of homelessness and addiction had taken a toll on my mind, leading to multiple suicide attempts and leaving my family uncertain about my recovery.
Through the power of prayer, the guidance of scripture, and the grace of Jesus Christ, I found hope and healing. Today, I am happily remarried and blessed with a beautiful blended family of five children. God’s goodness has transformed my life, and I am passionate about sharing that hope with others. In honor of my brother’s memory, I am committed to making a difference and helping those who are still in the darkness. Thank you for joining us on this journey!
Jordan's life didn’t have the happy ending we had hoped for, and his loss deeply affected our family. It was a turning point for me—I knew I had to take action against the epidemic of homelessness, addiction, trauma, and mental illness. Jordan’s story didn’t have to end in tragedy. If he had received just a simple act of kindness, like a cold cup of water, he might still be with us today.
As Jesus said, "Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for Me" (Matthew 10:42, 25:40; Mark 9:41). This truth has become our family’s mission: to love those in need and offer our best to the most vulnerable through acts of kindness, service, and compassion. We refuse to let another life be lost to the harsh realities that took Jordan from us.
We want the community to see the homeless as valued members of society, individuals with stories and families just like Jordan’s. We believe that no one is a throwaway; everyone is seen, loved, and cared for. Our goal is to provide opportunities for fresh starts and new beginnings, offering hope through the salvation of Jesus Christ. Together, we can help others reclaim their lives and pursue wellness.
AND WE CAN HELP!!! Our vision is clear: to give a voice to the voiceless, hope to the hopeless, and a home to the homeless. You never know the impact you can make until you take that first step. I am living proof of the transformation that can occur through these efforts, and I know change is possible.
We invite you to support us through a one-time donation or a monthly subscription to our nonprofit organization. Together, we can take a stand and create meaningful change in the lives of those around us. Thank you for your generosity, and may God bless you richly today and always!
With Deepest Gratitude,
Joshua Domingos - Founder
